Slone

Slone’s output since he started his career has been consistently solid and certainly original, both on the production side and as a Room resident DJ, so we are very proud to welcome him back for the third time with his newest EP: “Body Sushi”. Beginning with the 303 touches on the playful “Trojan”, the artist makes a statement on what to expect on the rest of the release. The title track, “Body Sushi”, with a somewhat eerie atmosphere, vocals and catchy distorted claps is one of those tools that will instantly fall on many DJ’s folders. Surely a highlight from the EP. Intensity goes up with “My Mind” and its dubby pads, which are paired with a clever 909 workout throughout the whole track. “Truancy” retains the vibe with a functional, bleepy driving track. The alarming “Rain” and its icy soundscapes and textures put a superb end to the latest instalment on the Room Trax catalogue.
