Like a sheet of metal slamming against the floor, Tiefton’s EP arrives swiftly, loudly, and causing tremor. With an EP filled with rapid-onset brutalist beats, the Frankfurt artist manages to hypnotize the listener, delivering quick blows and sharp turns in the form of highly danceable structures. Endlessly meandering through streams of liquified sound, weaved around metallic texture, the ep’s expansive sound seems to infinitely fold in on itself like a poly-dimensional object. We have invited Lidvall to reshape the sounds of this EP into his remix of Only I Will Remain, where we are treated to a bleak scenery, the outcry of metallic vultures encircling their spoils, with the rummage of a pillaging steamroller echoing in the background. In front of us is an EP equally capable of exploring inner and outer space.
