Rowpieces

Believe it or not, Drum & Bass was the reason for a very young man nicknamed "Row" to start making music in the mid-nineties. He was literally enchanted by this new, almost alien-like music that he decided to create this kind of music without any musical knowledge or help. The first pieces were created with a very primitive, free programme, with which one could only mix 4 stereo tracks of audio material together, and had no possibility to play anything in or compose properly. But Row found a way, albeit in a very roundabout way, and produced a few pieces in that manner. Soon after, he would have the opportunity to produce more professionally, and the legendary Ninetees Productions were created. As Row was always known for being on the soulful and atmospheric side of music, his works were hardly noticed in the local scene. And since it is not really Row's strength to market himself or to connect, and he soon had family obligations as a father of two children, accordingly there were never any releases at that time, although many tunes definitely hit the zeitgeist and could also compete technically.  He worked with various friends, also in the field of Hip Hop and House, tried out all kinds of styles, but always remained true to his favourite electronic genre and produced Drum & Bass throughout the years and decades. 
It wasn't until 10 June 2010 that the name Rowpieces appeared in public for the first time, when he founded the legendary digital record label Soul Bros. Records with three friends. He quickly drew attention to himself with his captivating productions, and in no time he was already appearing on some of the genre's most prominent labels, and being played up and down by DJs all over the world. His name is now very well known and still stands for a special and sophisticated style of music. The dream of being part of the "Intelligent Drum & Bass" scene came true, late but better than never. This compilation roughly outlines the musical career in his main genre and the development of the productions. The vibes have remained unchanged at the core, even the very first works are unmistakable - soulful and positive, atmospheric, beautiful dance music. Rowpieces' music will never change fundamentally, because he always did and does what his heart feels, and that is the unbroken, intense love for Jazz, Funk and Soul, combined with solid and driving beats, and a dreamy and good mood creating atmosphere. "25 Years Of Making Music" - a journey of 25 tracks including two previously unreleased works from the absolute early days, and a brand new exclusive anniversary track called "1st Love".  
In this spirit, here's to another 25 years!
