Cirrus

In a world where one's perception of reality is governed entirely by perspective, alternate perspectives become crucial in the progression of thoughts and ideas. With that, Terra Null Recordings presents its thirteenth release, and its second collection of remixes. This time label boss Cirrus enlists the help of two very bright talents in the scene, each of whom in their own way offer a different perspective, resonating from opposite ends of the globe. Christopher Murray aka Fearful of the UK is up first, providing his take on Cirrus’ track “Diacria” which appeared all the way back on TERNUL007. An expert in percussion, as demonstrated by his releases with Diffrent Music, Murray’s frantic drum patterns add new depth and style to the haunting melodies of the original, bringing the track even deeper than before. The flip side features a remix by Australia’s own Takeshi Fujimura aka Fuj who takes Cirrus’ previously unreleased ‘Angel’ to a level that by Cirrus’ own admission far outshines the original in sheer bass weight alone. The tearing reece bass cuts across the heavy-duty kick drums with great power, offering stark contrast to the smooth gliding percussion and melody presented on the releases’ A-side. This contrast of two unique and fresh perspectives we feel does very well to represent the mission of the label, as we constantly look to expand our own perspective on the electronic music space.
